About me
Hello! Thank you for checking out my website! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I was raised in two very different areas of the country - as a child, I grew up in a small town in Minnesota named Two Harbors, until the age of about 10, in which I moved to Los Angeles. Seeing the diversity in how the different cultures approach video games has been an interesting point in development for me. My desire to be in game development has been a childhood dream, and something I have intensely worked toward.
I have always had a deep love for video games, and more specifically, how video games are created. In all of the games I have played, I have tried to figure out how they were developed, and reverse engineer the thought process behind them. I have found that with some creativity and critical thinking, a game developer has the power to transport their audience to a whole new world. The ability to immerse players into my own creation is what has always captivated me and driven my desire to want to be a game developer.

I feel the strongest value in any game is the plot of the game, and how well it mixes into the gameplay and environment, to create an immersive experience. To that end, my favorite game series has always been the Final Fantasy series, as I feel the developers did an outstanding job immersing me into a different world, to the point where I forget I am playing a game.

That is my ultimate goal with my game development creations - I want my players to be so immersed into my creation that they forget they are playing it, and need to treat it like they are really there.
​
In terms of skillset, I am the most proficient with C# and Unity, however I have experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, VB, Ruby, and C++. I have some experience with Unreal Engine as well. I have utilized PHP and Javascript to reverse engineer websites. I have also developed and managed databases with both SQL and Mongo.
